Birch Mill Farm Students Winning Weekend
Last weekend at the Gloucester County Dream Park in New Jersey, there were back-to-back horse shows sponsored by two different organizations, the New Jersey Pinto Association and the New Jersey Horse Association.
Led by head trainer Debbie Miller and assistants Barb Kraft and Nicole Johnson, her students and their Appaloosa mounts cleaned house.
Ellen Rollins and her new mount, Ziplining, were reserve high point under one judge at the NJ Pinto Show with unanimous wins in showmanship, unanimous seconds in western horsemanship and top five placings in western pleasure. At the NJHA show they were also reserve High Point under one judge with first places in showmanship, western pleasure and western horsemanship and multiple top 5 placings.
Miss Riley Edwards, showing No Question Im EZ won her lead line walk trot class under one judge at the NJ Pinto show. At the NJHA show, her multiple top 5 placings earned her Reserve High Point Lead line under one judge.
Alex Turnmire, aboard Hands Off Emma, won her showmanship under both judges at the NJ Pinto show and, never placing lower than third in her classes, was reserve high point in her division. At the NJHA show, aboard Impulsive Andrew, she won her hunter under saddle class under both judges and was top five in all other classes entered.
Impulsive Andrew was also piloted by Lillie Johnson at both shows. At the NJ Pinto show and the NJHA show, Lillie placed well in all her classes with many top five finishes.
At the NJHA show, Ziplining also carried Laurel Bullock to top five finishes in two hunt seat classes.
BirchMill Farm’s final rider, Lisa Clark and her mount No Question Im EZ had wins in western pleasure and 2nds all around showmanship at the NJ Pinto Show. At the NJHA show, the duo won the Jackpot western pleasure class and were reserve in the jackpot horsemanship class.
