Dunit For a Dream Wins at the Florida Reining Classic
Dunit For A Dream, owned by Vicki Scarpinato and ridden by Jorge Puente, knocked it out of the park this week at the Florida Reining Classic winning the Open Novice Horse Level 2 and Level 3 classes.
Vicki purchased Jane in 2021 from Jorge. Her daughter, Lindsey rode reining horses for ten years but took a ten-year hiatus to get married and have a family. Lindsey, Jane, and Jorge returned to the show pen and had a great 2022. They won the Non-Pro Derby put on by the South Florida Reining Association. At the 2022 Appaloosa World Show Lindsey and Jane also won the Non-Pro Reining Derby.

If you are unfamiliar with the Florida Reining Classic, it is a spectacular show! It is a full week of classes with a number of Derby classes and a 4 year old Futurity Class. The show, held in Jacksonville, Florida, is very exhibitor friendly and a much anticipated yearly event.
This year, Jorge and Dunit For a Dream scored a 148 in the Open Novice Horse Level 2 and Level 3 to top the two classes.
Dunit For a Dream was one of very few Appaloosas on the grounds. If you are on social media, you also saw a stunning picture of Justa Jersey Boss owned by Jennings Performance Horses who showed in the same classes as Dunit For a Dream, scoring a 141 and placing to 10 in the Novice Level 1 class.
We are super excited to see more appaloosas showing in NRHA events.
